Amanda & Evan | Hayloft on the Arch

This wedding day was absolutely amazing! Evan and Amanda really know how to put together a wonderful celebration. The details, the love, the guests, the venue, the food... all of the elements of their special day melded together perfectly to create a truly memorable wedding celebration!

It was my first time photographing a wedding day at Hayloft on the Arch, so I took a little drive out to Vernon, NY beforehand to take a look around. The beautiful wedding venue is just outside of Syracuse... and it's a lovely drive to get there I might add! After taking a look around, I knew that Amanda's attention to detail and crafty talents- together with the uniqueness and beauty of Hayloft on the Arch would become an absolutely gorgeous wedding day!

Amanda and Evan's first look and portraits were full of sun beams and bright sun rays glistening off of Hayloft's peaceful stream. Soon after, the sun beams became rain clouds... Evan loves the rain, so we decided to take advantage of it for a few more rainy portraits of the bride and groom!

Due to the rain, their special wedding ceremony took place inside of Hayloft... with their joyous reception soon to follow! To end such a romantic wedding day, Amanda and Evan bid their guests farewell, walking through an archway of waving sparklers, many big smiles and happy shouts of celebration.

All in all, Amanda and Evan's wedding day was truly 'picture perfect! Take a look!

Congratulations Evan and Amanda!

World on Film | Dominican Republic

I am endlessly passionate about photographing the beauty I see in people. In subtle gestures... the way they stand, the way they hold their hands, the look of love- sadness- peace- joy that can be found when I look into the subtle emotion in their eyes. Capturing who people are through these simple qualities and moments... is truly my passion. The beauty I notice in people can be found and photographed on a wedding day, during engagement sessions, portrait shoots... and walking the streets of the world!

This blog post is showcasing some of my favorite personal images. They're photos taken with an old Nikon film camera. They're moments of beauty that I saw in the people of the Dominican Republic. Take a look into my passionate heart for traveling the world and photographing emotion and genuine beauty!

As much as I enjoy photography in and around Syracuse, my heart is also inspired when I am given the opportunity to photograph beautiful people around the rest of the world!
