Caly & Steve | Getting Married in Syracuse Tomorrow!
Tomorrow I will have the honor of photographing the wedding of a couple of my dearest friends! The bride, Caly, is such a special person. She's a friend, respected wedding photographer and she can paint a mean set of nails! The first time I met Steve, I watched him and Caly interact together and remember so clearly thinking... that the kind of love they had for each other was not the kind you see everyday. They have the kind of love that you have to do a double take to make sure you're seeing everything correctly. They have the kind of love that doesn't grow on trees. Their bond is unique and everlasting.... and anyone within a hundred miles of them together can see it.
Steve is a music maker, beer drinker, Star Trekker and avid comic strip reader. Caly is a cat lover and hugger, nail painter, documentary watcher and outdoorsy camper. The stars aligned and these two met at a party while they were both attending Ithaca College. Eight fun filled years of trips to the zoo, camping, sipping beers, going to Syracuse Christmas tree lightings, eating yummy foods, playing board games, making jokes and watching Star Trekk... they looked at each other one day and said 'Let's go ahead and get married'. No frilly balloons or sparkly confetti. It was beautiful and simple... these two best friends decided that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together as husband and wife (Steve's cute buttox sealed the deal for Caly!). Their favorite part of planning their wedding day, has been sharing their excitement with their overjoyed friends and family (myself included!).
Tomorrow, Steve will be a handsome groom and Caly will be a gorgeous bride. They will get to say 'I do' to each other and begin their adventure together as husband and wife. To them, their wedding day is not about 'stuff' or 'things'... it's about making a commitment to their best friend. I am overjoyed that Caly and Steve chose Silent Moment Photography to document their wedding day. To photograph the wedding of these two dear friends, is such an honor. Under the Syracuse sunshine (or pretty rain clouds), these two will become husband and wife.... and I could not be any more excited if I tried! Once the day draws to an end... a peaceful, beer sipping, camping honeymoon in the gorgeous Adirondacks awaits these two love birds as they begin their lifelong adventure together! Cheers to the soon to be Mr. & Mrs!
